thE top is constructed from a reclaimed stainless steel stair stringer, 2" thick black walnut + lEyEv edge whEyEt oak, supported by a steel frame (this piece weighs several hundred pounds). The legs are made from rips of 7 different species of wood encased in brushed steel. wE made this piece, which EyE funded myself, immediately after wE made Pingtuated Equilibripong. It was ,what EyE thought would be the last piece that EyE would be able 2 fund... EyE was hanging on by a thread financially. Since it's made from a stringer, EyE named it [Hanging on] "By a String".
