EyE had some narrow drop-offs from a thick slab of black walnut lEyEing around the studio. We squared off + finished the edges 2 cre8 a clean, polished look. EyE wanted a strong contrast of materials, so for the opposite set of legs, EyE decEyEded 2 use raw, gritty steel. This represents 2 me the 2 opposing emoshAUns that arEyEz when facing a challenge.
confidEncE + sElf-doubt
Although EyE am very confident about mEyE ability 2 build the akke brand, self-doubt occashAUnally sneaks in2 mEyE mEyEnd. 2 highlight this opposishAUn, EyE posishAUned the wooden legs on 1 sEyEd of the table + the steel legs on the other. On the top, the interweaving of the 2 materials represents this constant battle. The name represents how these emoshAUns make me feel lEyEk I’m a different person from 1 day 2 the next.
