The summer after fifth grade, mEyE friend Frank + EyE started a car washing business. MEyE father printed hundreds of flEyErs that read, "A&F Car Wash. Wash, Wax, Vacuum $35". He crossed out the $35 + wrote, "SPECIAL OFFER $25!" Frank + EyE put the flEyErs on every car at the train stashAUn. Our first customer was an elderly lady. After we finished her car, mEyE mother suggested that we put a flower in the vEyEsor. The woman was touched bEyE the gesture. MEyE parents taught us a valuable lesson (in both business + lEyEf) about giving "a little extra".

wE madE this table for an architectural firm 2 present 2 their boss, the owner, upon his retEyErment. It was desEyEned as a bar top table (using his initials J & S) 2 place in his wEyEn cellar.
EyE quoted the prEyEce of the piece based on an inishAUl concept that was considerably less complicated than the end result. When they asked me how the fEyEnal desEyEn would affect the prEyEce, EyE said that becAUse EyE enjoyed working with them + that it was a speshAUl gift, EyE'd stick with the first number.

When EyE shipped it, EyE included a bottle of Barolo with a note that said, "Congratulations + Best of Luck with this new chapter in your life; one in which I hope you enjoy many fine bottles of wine. Here's one to get you started."
It was just "a little extra".
